Jamison K. Shedwill is a solo attorney with a practice dedicated to Family Law. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1990 from the University of California at Santa Barbara with Majors in History and Political Science. He graduated with honors from California Western School of Law in San Diego in 1993, where he was the editor of the International Law Journal. He was admitted to practice law before all of the Courts of the State of California in December of 1993, and he has been practicing law as a sole practitioner since that time.
Jamison takes pride in his ability to achieve the client’s goals in an expeditious and cost-effective manner. He is consistently able to achieve a successful outcome for his clients by taking the time to truly understand the particular needs of each client and developing a comprehensive plan from the very outset of the representation.
Jamison is a strong advocate for mediation and believes that the best resolutions are the ones that are reached by a mutual agreement between the parties. This is especially true for issues involving minor children. If it all possible, it is best to avoid the situation where the Judge, a complete stranger to you and your situation, will be making orders which will radically affect your life and the life of your child or children. Jamison is particularly effective in helping find a mutually agreeable solution that avoids the costly, time-consuming, and emotionally draining court battles.
When court litigation is necessary, Jamison is equally effective in the courtroom as a strong, persuasive, and unwavering advocate for his clients. Protecting and fighting for a client’s rights is the highest priority, and Jamison has consistently achieved outstanding results on behalf of his clients in hundreds of hearings and trials.
